Heavy Equipment Operator work on data center projects in Virginia

Before any steel goes up, data center campuses require massive sitework: clearing and grading hundreds of acres, cutting building pads, trenching for duct banks and utilities, and building the roads that keep a multi-year project moving. Heavy equipment operators run dozers, excavators, scrapers, loaders, and compactors through every phase — and on campuses with rolling construction, sitework for the next building often starts while the last one is still being fitted out.

GPS or machine-control experience (such as Trimble or Topcon) and finish-grading skills are relevant because data hall pads and duct-bank grades run to tight tolerances. Utility trenching around energized duct banks also rewards operators who dig cleanly and follow spotter protocols.
